Resumen
El artículo se propone revisar las significaciones en torno a la democracia presentes en un conjunto de documentos partidarios generados por la Dirección Interior (DI) del Partido Socialista de Chile y por su Secretario General Carlos Altamirano durante el período que media entre 1974 y 1979. Elaborado desde la perspectiva del análisis del discurso, la hipótesis de este artículo es que, en dichos documentos, es posible ver plasmada una progresiva y compartida modificación en el sentido del significante democracia, no existiendo aún indicios de las diferencias ideológicas que, años más tarde, distinguirán al sector de la renovación socialista del resto del espectro socialista chileno.

Abstract
Transition to democracy and the women’s and feminism movement have become two of the most recurrent and common historical and political stories in recent years; however, this narrative is not consistent with studies that come from the historical discipline, specifically from research on recent history of Chile. Based on the above, the aim of this article is to realize, on one hand, of what has been written on these issues, but particularly the gaps, omissions and existing debts on the transition and the women and feminist movements in the literature about our most recent past.
