Resumen
El presente artículo analiza el proceso de recepción y apropiación del Bogotazo y del gaitanismo por el Partido Socialista de Chile (PSCh), entre 1948 y 1958, a partir de la revisión de fuentes primarias. Segmentamos el análisis de la recepción en base a dos momentos, el primero (1948-1951) referido a los acontecimientos del 9 de abril de 1948, mientras el segundo (1952-1958) corresponde al análisis de la recepción a través del pensamiento de los principales intelectuales del socialismo chileno, y del movimiento gaitanista. En esa línea, la recepción del gaitanismo dentro del socialismo chileno en el primer momento permitió reafirmar tendencias nacionalistas y anticomunistas, mientras en el segundo momento reforzó las tendencias nacionales-populares que existían dentro del Partido Socialista de Chile, así como permitió enriquecer debates fundamentales como el de “democracia”, aportando a su proceso de unificación.

Abstract
This article analyzes the process of reception and appropriation of the Bogotazo and gaitanismo by the Socialist Party of Chile (PSCh), between 1948 and 1958, based on the review of primary sources. We have segmented the analysis of the reception on the basis of two moments, first (1948-1951) referred to the events of April 9, 1948, while the second (1952-1958) corresponds to the analysis of the reception through the thought of the main intellectuals of Chilean socialism, and the gaitanista movement. In that line, the reception of Gaitanism within Chilean socialism in the first moment allowed to reaffirm nationalist and anti-communist tendencies, while in the second moment reinforced the national-popular tendencies that already existed within the Socialist Party of Chile, as well allowed to enrich fundamental debates such as the “democracy”, contributing to its process of unification.
